Think Purple for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

This November, you will see a host of purple ribbons. This is the color awareness ribbon for Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s affects as many as 5.1 million Americans. It’s the most common form of dementia among adults. It is a progressive neurological disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills. People with Alzheimer’s have memory loss that ranges from cognitive, or remembering life events, to behavioral, or the ability to do specific tasks.

Millions across the United States work hard during the month of November to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease by participating in walks, races, and other fundraising events. We’ve got a number of great apparel items that can help you raise awareness and educate others about this debilitating disease.
